December’s Artist To Watch is Brittney Parks, who performs as Sudan Archives.


A violinist, singer, songwriter and producer, Sudan Archives recently released her debut album, Athena, after releasing two critically acclaimed EPs. Parks grew up in Cincinnati, started playing violin in 4th grade. She moved to Los Angeles where she currently lives and is influenced by R&B, hop-hop, Sudanese fiddle and electronic music. Athena showcases a singular musical vision, bringing together diverse musical genres with midtempo beats, layered harmonies and sophisticated melodies.
